If you don't want to attack your pigmentation with every acid and vitamin in the book, Chloe Pierre, founder of inclusive health brand thy.self, has you covered with her DIY face mask recipe that does just that.

1 tbsp turmeric powder/fresh turmeric (juiced or pressed)
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
to form a paste, add water
1 tbsp honey or 1/2 avocado, mashed if you've used turmeric juice

Pierre reveals that my go-to face mask recipe includes modest amounts of fresh turmeric and lemon juice to target hyperpigmentation. 'Over at least four weeks, turmeric as an ingredient has been clinically demonstrated to address hyperpigmentation, minimize skin irritation, and wrinkles.' Turmeric is a spice that comes from India and South Asia. It belongs to the ginger family.

Simply combine the ingredients, apply to targeted areas (using gloves to protect your hands) and leave on for 3 minutes before rinsing. To see benefits, repeat at least twice a week for five weeks.
