Simple DIY Face Masks for Radiant Skin

Feel really sluggish. And/or we don't have the desire (or the funds) to go shopping for new face masks every week. In an ideal world, we'd all be given The Light Salon's BOOST LED Mask and be able to relax on the couch like Chrissy Teigen, but the universe has other ideas!

Also, picking the right mask for your skin type can be difficult (don't worry, we have a trick that will make it seem simple). When compared to a day at the spa, simply delving into the kitchen's stash of goodies feels like a budget-friendly hack. So, if you want to pamper your skin but can't leave the comfort of your own home, try these mask recipes from food and skincare experts. Girl, get ready for a gorgeous at-home glow that money can't buy!

Turmeric Brightening Face Mask

Turmeric Brightening Mask

Is a mask that uses turmeric to brighten the skin.

With this two-part anti-inflammatory and brightening honey and turmeric mask, less is more. "I like to wash my face with high-quality local honey and use it as a mask as well. It's best if it's as natural as possible "Bianca Valle, a New York City-based Certified Holistic Nutritionist, agrees.

  • To make a smooth orange blend, combine one teaspoon turmeric and one tablespoon honey.
  • Apply the mask to a clean, dry face and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water and seal in the moisture with your favorite moisturizer.

"Honey is a natural antibacterial," says Lily Kunin, founder of Clean Food Dirty City and author of the plant-based cookbook Good Clean Food.
