Essential oils have a history of safe and effective use for everything from personal hygiene and cooking to emotional perks and health benefits. If you use the right amount of pure essential oils, they will be fully utilized in your home or family.

Do not use orally without medical supervision. If accidentally swallowed, consult a doctor. Do not use directly on the skin, they should always be diluted in the vehicle, usually vegetable oil, before applying to the skin.

If you are sensitive to essential oils, there are some adjustments you can make to avoid further sensitivity or discomfort. Sensitivity to essential oils is not the same as an allergic reaction, so essential oils can be used for other uses.
If you become sensitive after taking essential oils internally, you can still use aromatherapy or apply them topically. Sensitivity to essential oils can also be due to dosage. If you have ever been sensitive to a particular essential oil, dilute the oil or simply take a lower dose to see if your sensitivity is caused by a higher dose.
If you inhale the diffuser and have a reaction, turn it off immediately and move away from it. If you cannot leave the area, open windows or vents to increase air circulation. Seek medical attention if sensitization is severe or persistent, or if you experience difficulty breathing.
Irritated areas can be soothed with a carrier oil like grated coconut oil. Wipe the area with a soft cloth to remove and remove as much oil as possible.
Alternate adding coconut oil and gently rub the area.
